About TÜREB

Türkiye Wind Energy Association

The Türkiye Wind Energy Association (TÜREB) was established by the Council of Ministers' decision dated February 10, 1992, and numbered 92/2752, with the aim of following scientific, technical, and applied research related to wind energy, undertaking activities to promote the use of wind energy resources, and contributing to the economy by utilizing the wind potential in our country. As the umbrella organization in the field of wind energy in Türkiye, TÜREB covers the entire wind value chain and actively participates in all legal regulations related to the sector. TÜREB coordinates its activities with the Türkiye Electricity Transmission Corporation (TEİAŞ), the General Directorate of Energy Affairs (EİGM), the Energy Market Regulatory Authority (EPDK), and the Ministry of Energy and Natural Resources of the Republic of Türkiye. As a member of the European Wind Energy Association (WindEurope) and the Global Wind Energy Council (GWEC), TÜREB is the strongest civil society organization in Türkiye in the field of wind energy.
